NaAvlardim passes us gently with warm spring air and the scent of wild flowers. It is with this in mind that I bring you the blessings of God and the comings and goings of His people in His house throughout the Known Universe. Perhaps it is most appropriate to begin this commentary with the establishment of new places of worship. Accordingly, I can relate to you that Her Illustrious Excellency Rheiyluanne Isabella Corrino Sirdar-Marquise Cenva opened a new chapel in her palace on Rossak in the first week of the month.

That this holy place reflects the Lady’s exquisite taste and the exoticness of this jungle planet no one will be surprised, but the beauty of the new chapel on Rossak is not merely surface affect. For, as the venerable Fra H’allal’achim said, “Certainly, all things reflect God, but beauty is the simplest reminder of Him. And is it not in simplicity that we see the most beautiful example of His perfection?” In the third week of the month, none other than House Advisor and Physician Zandokhan Cenva, who all know has had such trials and tribulations recently, was seen speaking with Chaplin Mera Tourna and discussing the merits of his mistress’s new chapel. The people of Rossak may still have many concerns as they vie with nature to expand Cenva’s holdings, but where to worship God is not one of them.

While events on Rossak illustrate that religiosity may be found in even the most extreme ecological environment, the churches of the capital planet of the Known Universe were not without visitors. In the first week of the month Generalist Rocab Prilo took time out from his duties as Atriedes Advisor to attend Mass with his companion, Carlotta Ordos. Also in attendance was Honarious Kantiochii of the newly minted House Minor Wyrd Lwdd, who attended with Posiden Atriedes. As if to illustrate how extreme even the most civilized of places can be, the cathedral on Kaitain saw not only several Atriedes this naAvlardim, but had several visits by one of the best known and most visible members of House Harkonnen below the Lord Baron himself: None other than Viscount Suvideo Qingli Su.

Please do not mistake my words, dear reader, for I do not mean to suggest that Minister Su is any sort of extremist. As a renowned warrior and servant of both his House and the Landsraad, however, he has certainly faced the greatest varieties of situations from which God provides us opportunities to learn His path. Accordingly, Lord Su and his new Bene Gersserit consort, Abilasha, attended church in both the second and fifth weeks, and, I hope, found the way to greater understanding that is provided only with His assistance.

It occurs to me that there is one more thing to note from the attention paid in the past month by Imperial society to our shared Orange Catholic faith. As Mentats, Zandokhan Cenva and Rocab Prilo represent one of mankind’s noble responses to the vile, false god of machinelogic. Is it not true that their piety reflects the necessity of God’s love despite one’s mastery of mankind’s knowledge? For that matter, we are reminded that despite whatever understanding of the Known Universe we might have, learning, there is only one from whom we may truly learn more. May all of Kaitain appreciate the examples provided by these two, and all of those I have noted here. For it is said, that regardless of one’s House, position, or glory, that all is without worth without His love.

Finally, brothers and sisters, on the issue of worth, it should be mentioned that there were no significant contributions to our most holy Orange Catholic Church in naAvlardim. Let us not forget that the beautiful walls that protect God’s sanctuaries and holy sites most be maintained. In order that the Church may be there for you on the far future day that you most need her, please be generous in the near future.
