Just what is The Atraluna Project? You may have asked yourself this question, or perhaps not, but either way you're here now, and that's what matters, right? Who knows, but hopefully this will be the enlightenment (or distraction) you have sought by finding this corner of the web.
Okay, so what is the point of this website?
Glad our strawman asked! You see, a handful of years ago, my friends and I all became incredibly enamored with a game called En Garde! This play-by-email game is a lot of fun and among us were a few folks who wanted to try their hands at running a game or two. There was but one issue with this - We needed (or rather wanted to be fair) a website to keep ahold of the rules and records for the game and have them available to the world of EG players around the globe. So, we picked a host on recommendation of a friend and the rest is an assortment of forms and payment.
That's how it started, but those games aren't running, are they? What's the point, now?
One day they, or some other internet based games, may fill this pages again, but in the meantime we do the same thing we've always been doing - providing space for the files of people we know, so they can host images, guild forums, and the like without the ad banners that so often populate free webspace. There may not be too much to behold at the moment, but the future may bring more this way.
I see. So where did the name "The Atraluna Project" come from?
One of the few benefits of 2.5 years of Latin classes. "Atraluna" just kinda sounds cool and "Project" implies a constant work-in-progress, dynamic state that we maintain.
So what are you waiting for!
